The smell of the forest on a cool, foggy autumn day seems to permeate my brain, and takes me right back to very happy childhood moments, when the abundance of fruit trees and late wildflowers seemed to be the forest saying "I must rest now, but here is one last wave of bounty, before I sleep." Fog is a challenge to photograph, but I've kept trying, no matter how many bad photos happen. Once in a while, you get a decent one, and it's worth it.
